We Honor You
Lyrics
WE HONOR YOU

Spoken: Did you ever fight in a war Grandpa Joe? (Grandchild)
I fought in Vietnam many years ago (Grandfather)

WHEN I STEPPED OFF THAT PLANE IN SAN ANTONE
NO FLAGS WERE FLYIN?AND I MARCHED ALONE
I WAS BACK FROM ?NAM BUT WASN?T MYSELF
JUST A TOY SOLDIER FORGOTTEN ON A SHELF

SO I WENT DOWN TO THE OLD ALAMO
TO TALK TO THOSE BRAVE MEN OF LONG AGO
I HEARD STRONG VOICES FROM THOSE HEROIC DEAD
MY HEART SOARED LIKE AN EAGLE WHEN JIM BOWIE SAID

CHORUS

WE HONOR YOU SON
MAY YOUR HEARTACHE CEASE
YES, WE HONOR YOU
MAY PEACE BRING YOU PEACE

WE KNOW THERE ARE THOSE WHO DON?T GIVE A DAMN
FOR ALL THE SACRIFICE YOU MADE IN VIETNAM
STILL WE SALUTE YOU ALL LIKE HEROES FROM THE PAST
BECAUSE YOUR COURAGE FLEW OUR FLAG AT FULL MAST

REPEAT CHORUS
